Scott and I decided to have a day date on New Year’s Eve to go skiing. We hadn’t been in a few years and had a great time! However, that evening when we got home we were so exhausted that we fed the kids dinner, got them into bed and were in bed and ASLEEP by 9PM. Ha Ha. Totally party animals, I know. Since we didn’t do much to celebrate with the kids on New Year’s Eve, we had a mini celebration on New Year’s Day! The kids loved it and had no idea we were a day late!
As we approached the end of the year, I’ve had a lot of time to think about what I want to do differently going forward. This year I’ve decided to keep my goal setting simple. I like to set goals and I think it is important but in years past I have often felt discouraged when I set too many goals or goals that were too specific and didn’t get as much accomplished as I would like. So I’ve come up with 5 goals this year that are simple yet so very important to me.
1. Make myself a priority.
2. Spend more one on one time with Scott.
3. Love and serve my family.
4. Be kind.
5. Stay physically fit.
I love the beginning of the New Year because it means a clean slate and a fresh start. What a wonderful time to focus in on the important stuff for the upcoming year. 2018 was pretty good to us so I can’t wait to see what 2019 will bring!
